Studio Spotlight: Q&A with Trainer Jennings

At P.volve, our instructors are so essential to the method. They motivate us, perfect our form, and help us advance to the next stage of every workout, no matter if we’re in the studio or working out from our living room. That’s why it’s important to get to know these experts better—so we can feel more connected to them and hear why they do what they do so passionately.

Say hello to Florida-born Jennings Brower, a new trainer on the NYC team. Early on, Jennings developed a deep interest in comics, sports and cheer—and later realized he can bunch all of that energy up into one as an actor and fitness instructor.

Soon enough, you’ll see Jennings in streaming videos like the upcoming Madness Challenge, but until then, learn more about him below.

What led you to P.volve?

I had an audition through my agency, BMG Talent.

How did your upbringing lead you to an interest/passion in health and fitness?

I grew up with a passion for comic books and my parents always supported me to do what made me happy. One day I decided I didn't want to just treat others like a superhero—I wanted to look like one, and that’s how I decided to get into fitness!

What’s your approach to health and wellness? How has it changed since joining P.volve?

I am a big fan of functional fitness, but I typically go on 3 mile runs about twice a week, play basketball and other sports for workouts, and lift about 5-6 days a week too. In college when I cheered my main focus was lifting, but now with P.volve my training has become even more function focused, and it's made me feel stronger than I did when all I did was lift.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

Exercise and health food for sure. Beyond that, I couldn't live without my friends and family. Having a support system that you can trust to always be honest with you and keep you grounded is so important.

Any favorite pieces of equipment or streaming videos?

I love working with the gliders—they’re so versatile!

What’s your morning or nightly routine like?

I like grabbing a coffee first thing in the morning if I'm working that day. I check social media (though I'm working on not doing that as soon as I wake up!), drink my apple cider vinegar and water, then pack for the day before heading into the city. At night after work I'll go to the gym to hit weights if I have that energy, film and post a TikTok, do a TikTok live stream while preparing for the next day, shower and go to sleep after watching a Netflix show of a character I plan on cosplaying in the future!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a P.volve beginner?

Trust the process! Our whole team has your back and we create our classes and programs to bring you up to speed as smoothly and comfortably as possible.

Keep an eye out for Jennings in new streaming videos, coming soon, and be sure to secure your spot in the upcoming Madness Challenge, starting on 3/16. Or, if you’re new to P.volve, try our 14-day free trial to get started today.
