#WomenWhoCrushItWednesday: Madison H.
At P.volve, we love hearing about our clients’ progress, and seeing how they are crushing their workout game—no matter where, or how busy they are. We wanted to feature these ladies who are giving us some major inspo, so we started a #WomenWhoCrushItWednesday series here on the P.blog.
Today’s spotlight is on Madison, a former college soccer player, who had turned to high intensity workouts akin to her sport training but found that they left her with unwanted weight gain, bulk, and joint pain at only 22 years old. She wrote in to share how P.volve was the answer she needed to gain back not only her feminine figure, but her happiness and confidence as well.
“I ended my collegiate soccer career about a year and a half ago. Upon leaving the sport, I only knew heavy lifting, speed work, and agility as exercise. So I decided to find a workout that combined all three, that made me feel like I was still burning tons of calories, and could keep the athletic body shape I had after playing for 17 years. So, last summer I found myself doing 30-40 minute HIIT workouts 6 times a week. After 3 long months I had gained 15 lbs. of muscle, had joint pain at age 22, and looked extremely masculine. I had lost all confidence and was extremely unhappy with my body, which transferred into other parts of my life as well.
This January I heard an entrepreneur on Instagram, “Hush up and Hustle,” mention P.volve. She talked about how the method focuses on getting rid of bulk in the thighs (which I am super quad dominant, thanks soccer), slimming of the hips, creating long lines in the stomach, all by doing movements that are easy on your joints. For the next couple days I was P.volve crazy! I was on the main website, all social media, and YouTube trying out each move over and over again. I ordered the 30-day evolution DVD and watched my body transform into something I was so proud of. I’ve been streaming for a little over 2 months now and I love how easy it is to fit the workouts into my day… P has built a team of trainers, representatives, and members that are supportive, authentic, and most importantly educated. This program has not only changed my body, but it has changed my mindset, and for that I am truly grateful.”
1. Favorite piece of equipment?
My favorite pieces of equipment are the ankle bands. If they are incorporated into a workout, you know your hips and thighs are about to put in work.
2. Favorite P.volve move?
My all time favorite move is the 1 o’clock 3 o’clock step and sit. At first, it’s the weirdest position to put your legs in, but then you see all these lines and muscles pop out and you never want to stop.
3. Favorite streaming video?
The streaming video I’ve been obsessed with lately is “On Rotation With The Band.” 45 minutes of band work and rotations leave me feeling stretched out and toned from my arms and abs to my hips and thighs.
4. How I fit P.volve into my daily life?
Every morning, I grab my cup of tea and scroll through the workouts to see which one I want to do that day. I love how there are always new workouts coming out that include different techniques, equipment, and moves that keep your body guessing and progressing. For me, these workouts are amazing because they don’t leave me feeling exhausted. After the workouts I actually have more energy and that allows me to stay active and focused for the rest of my day.
