At P.volve, we love hearing about our clients’ progress, and seeing how they are crushing their workout game—no matter where, or how busy they are. We wanted to feature these ladies who are giving us some major inspo, so we started a #WomenWhoCrushItWednesday series here on the P.blog.
Our #WWCIW this week features Rebecca, a former athlete and desk-dweller who found P.volve at a pivotal moment in her life. Worn out and tired of her old routine, she found P.volve to be the perfect workout to transition her through a big career change. Not only that, she is now counting on her P.volve workouts to get her ready for another pivotal moment—her wedding day! Rebecca kindly took a moment out of planning her big day to share her success.
“I was always an active person – growing up as a dancer and gymnast, I had a strong physical foundation from a young age. After a couple years of working out at my closest gym in NYC, I became tired of my typical routine and started experimenting with different fitness studios. Not after long, I found that I was in a constant routine of megaformer, pilates and yoga classes, with the occasional barre class mixed in. My main focus was never to lose weight, but to continue to strengthen and tone my body so I can feel great.
I recently left the corporate world, which was burning me out, a few months back to pursue something I was really passionate about. Around that same time I was introduced to P.volve – and I started to feel the best I’ve felt in a long time! My body was becoming longer and leaner, and my thighs, which were always on the slender slide, lost some of the bulky shape that came from the resistance on megaformer workouts. Additionally, some of the back pain I experienced from my long, stressful work hours alleviated from the workouts P created. I had more energy, wasn’t feeling sore all the time, and was starting to notice changes in my body that I thought I’d never see!
About a month after my job change my now fiancé proposed, and I’ve been knees deep in wedding planning since! Now, I am more focused than ever on looking and feeling my best for my wedding day. I know that P.volve is going to help get me wedding ready – physically and mentally!”
1. How do you fit P.volve into your daily life?
On days that I don’t attend class, I stream first thing in the morning before work and shortly after I wake up on the weekends. I fit a yoga class in 1-2 times a week – this has been consistent in my workout routine over the last few years. I noticed that P.volve has been a perfect complement to yoga and helped strengthen my overall practice. I listen to my body and take a rest day when it’s telling me I need one.
2. What is your favorite piece of equipment?
It's hard to pick just one! I love mixing it up throughout my workouts, not using the same equipment back to back. If I had to choose, I’d have to say the P.ball – I’m consistently shocked with the results it has on my thighs, butt and abs.
3. What is your favorite move?
I love mat work with ankle weights. It makes me feel like I’m really working my legs and butt! I also love leg lift and rotations – as someone who sits at a desk all day they really open up my hips and make me feel like I’m working muscles that I may take for granted.
4. What is your favorite P.volve streaming video?
3 Day Body Burn!! The before/after I did was for this workout. I challenged myself to do this and was in love – it’s fast paced and efficient. I felt and saw the results immediately! I can’t wait to do it again – it’s going to be my go-to workout before any event!
