#WomenWhoCrushItWednesday - Michele C.

At P.volve, we love hearing about our clients’ progress, and seeing how they are crushing their workout game—no matter where, or how busy they are. We wanted to feature these ladies who are giving us some major inspo, so we started a #WomenWhoCrushItWednesday series here on the P.blog.

Our #WWCIW of the week is Michele, a long-time yoga instructor who found P.volve to be the missing piece to round out her fitness routine. She has since cut back on intense workouts that no longer serve her, and now shares her love of P.volve with anyone and everyone, including her daughter! 
 
"I am 53 and my body looks better than it has in years!! All thanks to P.volve.
I have been a yoga instructor for 19 years.  I was a three-sport athlete in high school and a college volleyball player.  I have struggled with being quad dominant and frustrated by the bulk in my thighs that comes with HIIT, squats and lunges and other forms of cardio.  I believe strongly in prehab, rehab, physical therapy and yoga to correct imbalances in the body. And although I do yoga every day, when you are using the same dominant muscles you will never see change.  Every single body is designed so differently and you have to counteract your normal physical body patterns.

I think yoga and P.volve are complimentary in so many ways. I have always been flexible and strong but this is DIFFERENT.  Also, my core is stronger and stomach is flatter now that I don't do crunches! It is a revelation.

I have introduced many people to P.volve and will continue to do so. I just see you guys evolving and getting better and better! My daughter played volleyball for Villanova University and is a runner so I am slowly trying to convert her.  She loves it so far!"

Where are you from?
I now live in Scottsdale, AZ but have lived all over the world-- Japan, England, Abu Dhabi, and Washington DC. 

How did you find out about P.volve?
 
I saw an ad on Instagram for P.volve and was intrigued by the type of workout.  It is very different from anything else so I decided to try it.

How do you incorporate P.volve into your daily life?
I try to do a video everyday for at least 30 min. Then another 20-30 minutes of yoga. I have used the travel workouts on the road-- love that you thought of that! I have cut down on cardio except for walking and hiking.  NO more running!

What's your favorite P.volve move?
My favorite P.volve move is probably anything where there is an ankle band and we are working abs and top of thighs like lifting and twisting. Or using hand weights and punching and twisting. I feel my abs working the whole time!!

What's your favorite piece of equipment?
I bought all the equipment but have to say the  ankle band  work and  ankle weight work has transformed my thighs and butt and created more strength with less bulk! I was blown away after the first month and now am on my 6th month. 

What's your favorite P.volve workout or program?
I love the warm-ups and the elongation of the torso and core in most of the workouts. My favorites are the more intermediate and advanced band work like "Band on the Move."  I also really loved the 3 Day Body Burn I have used the that and the 6 Day Total Body to prepare for events, etc. "Balancing Act," "Heel Power" and "Angel Approved" are all great workouts, too.
