#WomenWhoCrushItWednesday - Melanie S

"P.volve was the ONLY workout that I felt totally safe doing, and it has healed my diastasis recti significantly."

At P.volve, we love hearing about our clients’ progress, and seeing how they are crushing their workout game—no matter where, or how busy they are. We wanted to feature these ladies who are giving us some major inspo, so we started a #WomenWhoCrushItWednesday series here on the P.blog.

After her second pregnancy left her with complicated conditions, Melanie struggled to find the answer to getting her body moving again in a way that felt gentle yet brought results. After discovering P.volve, our #WWCIW of the week has made a pretty incredible recovery. Read on!

"With my last pregnancy, I had symphysis pubis disfunction and diastasis recti. When I wanted to get back in shape postpartum, my workouts were SUPER limited and/or would hurt me or make my conditions worse. P.volve was the ONLY workout that I felt totally safe doing, and it has healed my diastasis recti significantly. Because of P.volve, I have been able to build my body up to being strong enough to run 2-3 days a week as well.

Along with these benefits, my body has never looked better! I feel lean and feminine and have never really felt like I could ever have a feminine body while also being in shape (I build muscle easy).

I LOVE everything about P.volve! I love the variety in the workouts, the variety in the length of the workouts, how it’s easy to do at home (huge for me with being a mom of 2 toddlers) and that the equipment is easy to store, how helpful P is in the videos, and how great the moves are for my body...literally love everything about it!"

How did you find out about P.volve?
Helen Owen on Instagram.

How do you fit P.volve into your daily life?
I usually wake up at 4:00 or 4:30am to get it in before waking the kids up to get us ready for work and school/daycare. If I don’t do it in the morning for some reason, I fit it in at night after the kids go down for bed.

What is your favorite piece of equipment?
Hmm... this is tough because I love the variety of equipment, but I’ve fallen in love with the slant board ! My close second choice would be the P.band though.
What is your favorite P.volve streaming video?
Either “Working for Results with (or without) the Slant Board” or “It’s RK With the P.ball!

What is your favorite move?
I know it’s part of the warm up, but I love the Side Catch & Reach... it always feels so good.

Anything else you want to share with the P.volve community?
I think the best thing that P.volve has done for me is give me an active life back! My last pregnancy was tough on my body (diastasis recti and Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction), and P.volve has helped improve/heal those things ... I am so so grateful for that!
