At P.volve, we love hearing about clients’ progress and seeing how they’re crushing our workouts. These ladies, near and far, are giving the P.volve community some major inspo through their incredible transformations.
So often, our workouts wind up teaching us something unexpected, like a newfound love for cardio or a way to better our posture.
UK-based Carrie found pain relief and so much more. The photographer and mom-of-one struggled with back issues for years but finally was able to achieve a stronger back and core with our method.
Below, member Carrie details her experience with P.volve and the payoffs she received from each and every movement.
How did you first find out about P.volve?
I found out about P.volve on Instagram, and was drawn to it because it reminded me of reformer Pilates which I loved doing in my pre-lockdown life.
What were your initial goals when first starting to do P.volve consistently?
My initial goals were to start moving again and then to tone up!
How did you fit P.volve into your daily routine?
I found it really easy to fit P.volve into my daily routine as it takes less time then traveling somewhere to exercise. Initially, I had my son home with me and I would either do it in the evenings when he was asleep or while he was entertained watching TV for 30 mins. Once he started school, I did it after I dropped him off at school. I’d be ready to then start the day by 10am. I work from home and can plan my own schedule so it’s perfect.
How, if at all, did your nutrition play into your transformation experience?
I’m a vegan and have been for a few years now so I find that limits the amount of rubbish I eat. I did however feel really bloated during lockdown as I was definitely eating more carbs so I did try to cut down on those.
Favorite piece of equipment, movements or streaming video?
My favorite is the p.3 as I find that the workouts with this are very similar to Pilates. I love Maeve's workouts and the way she explains things—I feel I get the best results with her. I also love Zach because he's British—like me!
What are the unexpected results you saw or felt?
Overall toning which I’ve never got from other workouts. I was also able to reduce lower back pain as my core got stronger.
